Our Projects

Current projects and ways you can contribute

At Gulf Meadows Church we are always thinking about how we can have a greater impact on our local community, city, state, country and around the world. Our mission is focused on this and we are dedicated to being good stewards of the blessing God has given us.

Here you can learn about the current project and challenges Gulf Meadows is facing and how you can contribute and help us in our mission.

Class Room Remodel

What started as a project to change the carpet in our classroom once known as the “choir room” has grown to a complete remodel of this room in such  a way that will better suit the needs of our growing community.

Chapel

Our beloved chapel was completely destroyed by Hurricane Harvey. With flooding that ranged from 2 – 4 feet of water, the chapel was damaged and now requires a complete remodel.

Immediately after Hurricane Harvey our church mobilized to change the roof but quickly realized that the building was going  to need much more than a new roof.

In April of 2018 we started the process of applying for a FEMA grant to remodel and restore our chapel.

Annex "Majestic" Building

If you have visited Gulf Meadows you probably have seen or been in our “Majestic” annex building. We have had numerous weddings, quinceñeras, parties, conferences, events, lectures and so many memorable events in this building.

Initially after Harvey we thought that the building was not damaged but as we began to inspect the building we realized that much of the water had been trapped behind the sheet rock.

We mobilized our volunteers and began to remodel this building but arrived at teh conlcusion that this build

Giving

What is tithing?

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house.  Test Me in this, says the LORD Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”  Malachi 3:10

Tithe” means ten percent of your income.

Tithe is not a debt we owe; it is a seed we sow! Jesus said, “Behold a sower went out to sow…the seed fell on good ground and brought forth fruit” (Matthew 13:3-8). The Bible says that whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap.

What are offerings?

What is the difference between tithe and offering?

Tithe is giving a tenth of your earnings back to the work of God. An offering, or generous giving, is over and above tithe. Offerings are something that you search your heart and decide to give beyond the tithe, but not in place of the tithe.

Discover the joy and the blessing of generous giving above and beyond what is required. See God as your supplier. Do not give according to what you have, but according to what God can supply. Know that the earth is going to pass away, know the true value of a soul and invest wisely in the Kingdom of God.
